Israel’s The Betty Bears will take you back to the era of swing and Dixieland.The band revives the New Orleans of 1920’s in their songs as if they had seen the time first-hand.The music which contains instruments like the double bass, scrub board, saxophone and clarinet, is as catchy as it was 90 years ago.In terms of records, The Betty Bears have so far come up with an EP with several tracks. Their repertoire, however, is much broader, including the 1918 classics After You’ve Gone, which has recently been tackled by Jamie Cullum and Fiona Apple.
