Of Bulgarian heritage and with a Berlin address, Dena is the sensation of unorthodox hip-hop
scene (nut just) in Europe. Her career skyrocketed with the catchy single Cash, Diamond Rings,
Swimming Pools which made the rapping girl, one of many in her homeland, an icon of Berlin
hipsters. After all, she keeps playing with the topic of the hipster fashion in her songs and
probably is the only one who knows the depths of hyperbole and irony there. In her work and
stylization, Dena uses former media and audio-visual studies, greatly works with fashion trends
and is a lot of fun: she is the one on the Islands to tell you what it really takes to be a genuine
hipster clubber! She is coming to Prague with her debut album, Flash. Dena’s hit track Flashed
was produced by Erlend Øye, known from the projects Kings of Convenience and The Whitest Boy
Alive.
