The Israeli saxophonist Elad Gellert has seen many clubs and stages both in Israel and the USA only to return to Jerusalem some time later. He became the moving spirit of the local jazz scene and Katamon, his new quintet project, is a collection of star players. The repertoire consists of songs from his Expectations, a highly acclaimed record, as well as new material that is freely inspired from a wide range of styles. Apart from the jazz roots, the attentive listener will find traits of grunge rock and film scores.
