Hazmat Modine (US)
New York’s Hazmat Modine are capable of including blues, jazz, even klezmer, in their music. As they have been popular guests of many jazz festivals, they have also arrived to the Czech Republic to present an original merger of jazz schools some may have forgotten and which were supported by greats like Little Walter, Paul Butterfield and Taj Mahal. The lineup has an untraditional mix of wind brass, including a tuba and a duduk, with a harmonica, accordion and an electric guitar. The result can be heard in Bahamut, a tract the German director Wim Wenders selected for his film Pina.
