Palermo (CZ)
Two students of Prague’s Academy of Fine Arts were initially known as TABLE, yet they have chosen a name that firsthand indicated Mafia connotations. The truth, however, is different: the true inspiration for the composer, lyricist and singer Dominik Gajarský and for the maker of electronic beats Roman Štětina was the German painter Blinky Palermo. Their synthpop singer-songwriter music with Dominik’s unique, slightly melancholic vocals sounds great both at the meticulously produced album Still Life and onstage.
